Norton Secure Browser - Unable to add NordPass password manager

In Norton Secure Browser Security & Privacy Center, if I go to Password Managers and click on the "Browser (Default)" option, the only password managers I see are Browser (Default), 1Password - Password Manager, and Norton Password Manager. I have 1Password and NordPass password manager installed on my PC, but NordPass is not appearing in that dropdown menu. I do have the NordPass extension installed/active in Norton Secure Browser. Is there a way to add it to the Password Managers dropdown?

After several more attempts of just uninstalling and reinstalling the NordPass extension, it finally appeared in the Password Manager dropdown. It's the same thing I had done many times before. I think it's definitely a bug , but it's there now so I'm happy.

@bjm_ Thanks so much for your help. It gave me hope and motivation to continue trying rather than simply chalk it up as not possible.

as test: added NordPass browser extension - Chrome store

Caveat: I do not have NordPass Password Manager installed.

Yes, the extension is installed and has been working fine with Norton Secure Browser. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the NordPass extension to see if it adds it to the list of password managers but it did not.

Seems, Norton Secure Browser limits the number of "password manager extensions" that can be enabled...at the same time.

It's encouraging that it appears for you. I have uninstalled the 1Password extension and when I did that then 1Password disappeared from my list of password managers but NordPass did not appear. I then uninstalled the NordPass extension and also fully uninstalled 1Password and NordPass from my PC. After a reboot I installed only NordPass and the Chrome extension but NordPass still does not appear in my dropdown list.

I imagine Norton Secure Browser limits active - enabled browser integrated password managers.  

Caveat:  I do not have NordPass nor 1Password installed.  I only installed their browser extensions, as test.

I very much appreciate your help. Unfortunately I have not had any luck getting it to appear. Maybe a bug?

Here is what I have tried:

  • Uninstall 1Password and NordPass, as well as their associated Chrome extensions in Norton Secure Browser.
  • Reinstalled NordPass and associated Chrome extension. Did not appear in Password Managers list (but 1Password was removed from the list).
  • Reset Settings in Norton Secure Browser. Didn't help.
  • Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Norton Secure Browser and re-added NordPass extension. Still no change.

May be best practice to run one (browser integrated)(web based) password manager (at a time).

Password Managers are only secure when it’s encrypted – and it’s only encrypted when you’ve locked it or closed the app.
