bjm_. The error 0X80080005 is being shown via Microsoft as a Windows Update issue. Does the computer involved have or did it have an update pending at the time this appeared? TIA.

Can you manually run the NB updater again to verify? And is your Windows 10 version 22H2 / build 19045.3324 ? That is the latest build/version with the latest .NET updates.

Your Windows install really should be on the latest, missing updates can be the cause of what you are seeing. Did you also give the solution link I posted a go to see if resetting WU makes any difference? This is why I am hammering on that. If you have used a third party program (StopUpdates10 )to defer update, more likely than not there are corrupted registry entries from that.

Confused a bit with your last post. Edge updates via Windows Updates. Chrome and Firefox update via their specific services, not WU. At any rate, you're missing updates. Of course, getting those is a personal choice as always. Just my suggestion to do so. Do Windows event logs offer any information?

I'm thinking NortonBrowserUpdateCore.exe was disabled/blocked.
