Norton Secure DNS not resloving certain addresses

For the last 36 hours I have had a problem with some (not all) web pages getting an Unresolved Address error. This is happening on multiple devices and goes away when I change to ISP DNS. The specific web sites are: *.lds.org Familysearch.org Other web sites that I have tried such as starwars.com work just fine. I am on firmware version 171218_223 and have tried to restart the router. This doesn't seem to make any difference.

Hello Obi_Hyer I use Norton Core with secure DNS, running Windows 10 Professional, IE 11 and both those site open as advertised for me on my system. In your Core app check under "People", in the lower part of the window under the group "Shared" as all devices NOT assigned to a person and NOT having parental controls go there. Check to see whether parental controls are enabled or disabled. Also check your time zone to be correct for your current location. Firmware updates sometimes set this to Pacific when it was other than that before the updates. Under security / network inspection check your level setting make sure its set for the default.

It appears to be working now. My time zone was set to Pacific so I did get that reset. The parental controls aren't the problem as this did happen on multiple devices with different people assigned to the different devices. We saw it happen on a chromebook in the shared group and a phone with me as the person. I will continue to monitor before I mark this as closed since I have seen it more than once over the last couple of days.

I got same problem and core support on Twitter asked me to use google dns until they figure out issue and solution

Same thing is happening to me today. Switched it to Google DNS and all is fine.

I don't think the problem is solved. We have a workaround but I have yet to see anywhere that the issue with the Norton DNS is fixed.

I've looked at the link you provided and it doesn't speak to the DNS problem. It talks about intermittent connection problems, not problems with certain web sites being unavailable because of the DNS. If there is a specific communication on the Norton Secure DNS issues being resolved, I would be happy to mark this resolved but I haven't seen anything so far. Until I do, I'll continue to use another DNS server.
