"Norton Secured" & Report Site

Hi, All,

I wish to Submit a Web Site for Analysis as I believe Norton is Blocking an Intrusion from this Web Site, which I believe is coming through Adverts on the Web Site, but I can't Submit the Web Site because it is a "Norton-Secured" Web Site.  This would be one of my criticism of this, and I've never really liked the idea of Norton-Secured Web Sites as, just because it has this fancy logo - some might say - it does not mean that this Web Site is immune from Attacks and hosting Malware, and I find it stupid that the "Report Site" would be grayed out.  Obviously I get the idea behind it, but I think this gives people a false sense of security and you may wish to drop this from the Product as I don't find it workable in Today's Threat Landscape.  Anyway, if there is some way for users to Submit a Web Link through the Symantec Web Site, then I would be grateful if someone could provide a Web Link.  Thanks.  If you'd like more details, please let me know.

Re: "Norton Secured" & Report Site

Hi Floating_Red,

With respect to your query, you can login to http://safeweb.norton.com/ and you can add in your review for the site as Malicious.

Please follow the below given steps:

1.Login to http://safeweb.norton.com/.

2.Enter the website address in the text box pertaining to "is this site safe?".

3.Once the rating of the site is displayed, right hand side you can find a column for Community Rating. Under that click on Add your review and first rate the site as 0 i.e.. Select "will harm you or your computer" and then proceed by giving your comments and reasons or details of the page for marking the site to be malicious..

Once you submit it, we will analyze the site from our end and the site rating will be updated after the analysis.

Also if possible, please revert back to this thread with the site or page details which you find it be Malicious.

Hi, prasanna_a,

Thank-You for your Message.

If you wish, I would send you the Web Link via P.M., and you could maybe investigate this yourself?  I will wait for this response before doing what you described in your Message.

Thanks.
