i keep getting a email telling me my norton security had ran out and will not be updated, I renewed last week
Hello micradek. Verify that the email address the message you received is valid here. If it indeed is valid contact support via chat here and have them resolve the issue.
If you renewed with a new product key, the email notifications you are getting are for the old subscription you had, that has expired. Those notifications should stop within 30 days.
