hey guys i got some from another forum on here, actually i uninstalled everything and then all registries several times and everything was on laptop ,
then installed the norton again but this time it was stuck on communication to internet , i uninstalled that version again and installed this one which is now working perfectly fine,

i hope this post will help other people. Norton is getting like Windows you have to do a lot of DIY work.

You should be on version 22.9.0.71 now.. Is this a trial program or a paid for program? It says promo in the name of the file plus it is such an old version.

Hi,
I am getting a "Coming Soon" message when I open Norton 360 Premier. The more Protection is not clickable and I have restarted my computer. I cannot reinstall as I mislaid my installation code when I was travelling in Europe. Can you let me know how to fix?

My norton Security premium with backup was working fine last night. Today all I get is the COMING SOON message. Did they update mine overnight and create this bug?

This problem, if it is, seems to have been dragging on for some time. Could Norton tell us what if anything, they are doing to fix it.
I wonder if a mass exodus to other providers of this sort of software might prod Norton to be pro-active?

Me too. Sending a private solution to one subscriber is not the answer. This product is getting harder and harder to use efficiently. Chat, the option I've been given, is a huge time waster as you wait for your "chatter" to interweave formula replies to you with those to other customers.

This began for me some weeks ago with an error screen: two calls to Norton about a half hour each and to India, solved it. A couple of weeks ago the "coming soon" screen appeared. Three hours and three calls with long waits, again to India, would resolve the problem temporarily - all Norton did was remove and reinstall, which I had already done. The strange thing is that the same Norton Security on my aged Asus netbook is not affected, only my laptop. Did I not have 282 days subscription remaining, I would ditch Norton, even after many years. Can't they get it right?

I'm simply trying to run a live update and noticed yesterday I'm getting a "Coming Soon" window, which does not allow me to access anything in the menu. When I try to run a scan through another route, it just sits there in timeout. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or knows what to do to correct it? Thx!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Our team aware about the issue "Norton main UI displays Coming soon" message and working on it. Please let us know if you are still facing this issue with "Boot Time Protection" feature enabled in latest Norton 22.10.0.85 version. Facing the same problem, running the newest version. I don't know if the Boot time protection is enabled because the program won't let me access literally anything.

How many of you received an alert message that a new Norton Security version is "Coming Soon" and Norton Security no linger working? The posted solution is to uninstall and reinstall the software. Why is this happening? I believe it is another way for Norton to get you to pay for an automatic upgrade at the end of each year at a much higher price than what you can get through Amazon. I had to go through this reinstallation process a couple of years ago and I refuse to do it again. Symantec needs to fix this problem without me wasting time on all my families computers. It needs to be one click away.
I see hundreds if not thousands of complaints regarding this issue. It is time for another class action lawsuit. Who knows a good lawyer?

Getting pretty tired of doing this work-around "fix" Norton! Fourth time around for me. First "Coming Soon" message I received was back in May or June, and now it's August....... And, this is the second time that I'm on deadline and I don't have time for this......

I got this Coming Soon error right before my Norton subscription expired. Then I installed the new version using a Product Key purchased on Amazon and it resolved the problem for a little while. When the same Coming Soon error returned, I uninstalled & reinstalled Norton and it went a way for a little while, but this morning it is back again! UGH! Any resolution yet? Uninstall/reinstall is not a fix...I totally again with all the other post ...Norton needs a fix ASAP!

For those of you on Windows 10 64 bit this worked for others in another thread. Suggest everyone disable "fast boot" BEFORE the restart, again this is for Window 8/10 users, then follow these directions. This MAY provide some relief for some until an update is released. Worth a try.

I have been receiving the Coming Soon message on and off for quite some time now. It is more often that I get the message. Leads me to be worried that this product is not providing protection, which leaves me at risk.

D. Phillips You are in no way losing protection. That message is just an embedded marketing popup that needs to be removed at the engineering level. That will take time as Symantec marketing has to sign off on it then the engineering team release a patch to remove it.

Hello Zoey123 Remove and reinstall your product with the tool from this link. The Norton engineering/marketing team are working on a resolution for this as stated in previous posts. There is not a time frame known for that patch to be released.

MR A C STEVENSON This is a know issue where the engineering and marketing team are working in concert to correct. There isn't a time/date for a patch being released correcting it. The Symantec team IS aware of this and it has been reported as well as acknowledged by same. I can suggest that if you are running Windows 10 to disable "fast boot", here is how. It is a relatively simple process and does not take long. Don't forget to restart your machine:

Installs on SOME but not all Windows 8/8.1/10 machines suffer from incomplete installs due to this setting preventing a 100% clean shutdown and proper installation of software. This is a known issue for Norton running on Windows10 Creators Update machines.

TRY USING NORTON TOOLBAR
I had the same Coming Soon problem with Norton Security Suite (free from Comcast), and I fixed it today by using the Norton Toolbar in Google Chrome and clicking Open Vault. If you don't see the toolbar in your browser, then look in your extensions or add-ons to see if it is installed but deactivated.
Anyway, when I used the toolbar and clicked on Vault is Closed, it brought up the Identity Safe and allowed me to enter my password. After that, my Security Suite worked properly and the Coming Soon message disappeared.
I hope it works for somebody else.

I was having this issue on one of my 6 installations only and I did as jcrump suggested and added the Norton extension to Chrome, signed in and then rebooted my laptop. This did get my Norton functions back. Thanks jcrump!

FWIW - please remember Comcast's Norton Security Suite only supports the Local Vault and the Local Vault can be opened when Windows starts via the Identity Safe Settings > Security Tab.
Not sure if this has any impact, but may also be worth a try for those on a Local Vault.

I too am having the exact same issue - it is maddening, infuriating, and TOO MUCH WORK for the money I pay every year!
I would love to supply log files for you, but cannot enter the program at all!!!
Apart from anything I need to know these things:
A: is my computer still protected whilst this Norton 'coming soon' error is running???!
B: are you considering telling any of us what the problem is? And when can we expect a fix?
C: is Norton going to cover me for any losses incurred during this 'outage', or whatever you want to call it?
PLEASE contact me asap!! After nearly ten years of buying Norton, I'm considering forgetting all about Symantec in Feb next year.

I have just come back to edit this post - I have turned off and on and reinstalled etc. to no avail in the past few days, but after writing this post, I restarted my computer, and started a scan from the norton icon I fixed to my toolbar on my desktop, right clicked from there, and began a successful scan!! Then Norton 360 opened automatically, and now the problem seems to be fixed. VERY ODD!!
BUT - DO TRY FIXING NORTON TO YOUR TOOLBAR ON YOUR DESKTOP AND RIGHT CLICKING FROM THERE!! WORKED FOR ME - EEEEASY FIX.

namzipan Please allow me to answer your questions as they were posted:
Question A - Yes your Norton protection has not been affected in any way.
Question B - There isn't a problem with the product. This is simply a marketing issue currently under review by the Symantec engineering and marketing teams. There isn't a time/date for the release of an update which removes the marketing pop-ups. Rest assured one IS in the works and will come with it is released.
Question C - There hasn't been any "outage" with the use of your product, only a popup nuisance. However as I am not an Symantec employee I cannot speak for Symantec. Therefore please contact support for a direct answer to that question at your convenience.

I have been getting this message for about a month. Have to call in and re-install every time. Waste of my time and money, when will we have a resolution? When will we get details on what is causing this issue? When will a fix be in place? It is not reasonable to ask your customers to re-install every time they log on. Need a resolution or an idea of when a resolution will be in place.

Glad to hear (sort of) that I am not the only one getting the "coming soon" message when I try to open Norton Security after booting up my lap top. It is getting really old having to remove and reinstall Norton Security. Don't understand why this just started a couple of weeks ago.

Both of my computers (HP TouchSmart and Microsoft Surface Pro 3) have Windows 10 version 1703 now installed. There's no problems on the TouchSmart. On the Surface Pro 3 the NIS taskbar has a red !. Clicking on it will not open NIS. When I attempt to open NIS using the Start menu tile, the dialog displays a "Coming Soon" .
What's going on?

The "Coming Soon" popup is an issue currently being looked at by Symantec since it is coming from a marketing aspect within the product. No known solution at the present time.

I have clicked on my Norton & all i see is Coming Soon
If i click using the right button on the icon on the taskbar i can see where you can click to run live updates, quick scan ect yet these are not happeing it as if Norton is just not working but the main icon when open is just showing Coming soon but don't show anything else not even my account or how many days i have left or if the account is active what has happen

Norton is starting to be a terrible company. Getting too big for its britches with its purchase of LifeLock and now making hardware like routers. They are getting too big and wide and have lost their ability to make a decent security software.
When I try and open Norton Security it just says "Coming Soon." No idea if it is working or doing live updates. This stinks.
You stink, Norton. Had almost a full year left on my subscription but I'm going with someone else. All of a sudden a defective product. no support. Terrible. See ya.

"Coming Soon" is the message I receive when I open Norton Security Suite. What's going on? Not a very "warm and fuzzy" expression from Norton who is to maintain security on thousands of computers. Is Norton working or not? Please advise.
