Norton Security subscription expired but I just activated it 2 weeks ago

Hi people. I had just installed Norton Security Standard Plus for Australia and New Zealand 2 weeks ago. I had also used the product key to activate it. However, for the past 3 days, it keeps on prompting me that the subscription has expired. I find this weird, so I have been browsing through this forum for topics related to my situation. There is one thread that has similar situation as mine, but his problem was solved by turning on Remote Management under Administrative Settings. When I checked mine, my Remote Management is already turned on. So I don't know any other solutions to my problem.

Can anyone help me in this? I can't speak well as I tend to stutter in my speech so I am not confident in calling Norton Support, so I resort to ask for help in the forum.

Hello Sally. The first thing coming to mind is whether your login on your system is an admin account. Secondarily, do you have "fast startup" enabled on your system? Disabling the fast startup can and does prevent issues with software related to installation corruption. Verify these two steps and reboot your system, try to replicate the issue.

Conversly, at times it is necessary to remove and reinstall a product in order to get a clean install. Many factors came come into play as a reason for this happening. If nothing suggested above helps, remove and reinstall your product following this guide. Perform a "remove only" by selection of the advanced setting in the R&R program. Allow it to complete and reboot. Next log into your Norton account and download a fresh copy of your product. Live update should run once automatically. Once it has completed, run live updates until no more are offered. Reboot a second time. Recheck your subscription status and let us know things worked out.

Before reinstalling, you might try opening your Norton product and clicking on Help - Subscription Status. That will try to sync your computer with the Norton Subscription servers.

If this does not help, then SoulAsylums reinstall suggestion would be in order.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I have tried your method, peterweb, but my Subscription Status still showed that my subscription has expired. So I tried SoulAsylum's suggestion, and then re-enter my used Product Key. Thankfully, the software is working fine now.

Nonetheless, thank you peterweb and SoulAsylum for your advices!
