Norton toolbar affecting web layout on following page possible ?

I have suddenly got a problem with my web design. As you can see from the 2 screen dumps the Norton Toolbar is now affecting my page layout.  This does not happen on my laptop running exactly same OS and Chrome version, but on both me and my wife’s desktops (different desktop models) .

Here are the 2 links to screedumps : With Norton toolbar on top  and without the toolbar

Hi @St_V,

Thanks for reporting this issue. I have passed on this to our toolbar team and they will look into it. I'll get in touch if I need more information from you.

Re: Norton toolbar affecting web layout on following page possible ?

While I don't have a solution, I have another example of your problem.  Several weeks ago, when opening in Chrome a site that has an info bar as part of the display (such as the Stock info strip along the bottom of the Charles Schwab account summary page) the bar is not located in the proper location.  For the Charles Schwab page, the Stock strip appears mid-way up the page instead of along the bottom.  When I deactivate the Norton Toolbar extension, the problem goes away.

Re: Norton toolbar affecting web layout on following page possible ?

I have the following responses from Chrome forums :

"Looks like that toolbar is injecting dom elements in the target page which beaks its layout.

There is really nothing that can be done from chrome side. The only two possible actions here are:

1) Go to chrome://extensions and disable the offending extension

2) Report this issue to Norton "

"Wow, that is peculiar.

Just by looking at it, no, I do not have a clue.

Anyway, this question should be posted to the Norton support forum, or stackoverflow.com instead, as it does not seem to be a proper Chrome issue, but an extension issue."
