Norton toolbar gone on Chrome browser

I don't know why this keeps happening but whenever I try to manually "Update extensions now" in settings menu, it doesn't work. Also, it seems like there's 2 Norton toolbars in the Chrome web store, neither of which I can find by doing a simple search. I have to keep a bookmark of the location in order to find it.

The bigger issue is, when I go to Identity Safe standalone, then Settings then General, I see Google Chrome: Extension disabled. So I click on Install extension and it takes me to this page: https://identitysafe.norton.com/client?product=idsafe&SSDCAT=314&lang=en... and under Norton Security Toolbar, I click on "Click To Add" but that installs the older version of Norton Toolbar which of course now is "corrupted" after updating to the latest version of Chrome.

I tried updating NIS standalone. It reads as Product Version: 2014.7.11.42

For Norton Toolbar in Chrome, I have 2017.0.0.9 and for Chrome itself, it's Version 59.0.3071.86 (Official Build) (64-bit).

I'm running Windows 10 64-bit. Thanks for any help.

Another thing that's confusing. I took 2 screenshots. They look similar except the urls are somewhat different and one of them says I have Norton Toolbar installed and the other says Click To Add. Screenshot 1 shows the url that I bookmarked which helps me get the latest Norton Toolbar which I installed. Screenshot 2 is the site that NIS standalone takes me when I click on Install extension for Chrome but it installs the older version of the Norton Toolbar which no longer works.

Try clicking the square Norton icon at the end of the address bar.

Try clicking the square Norton icon at the end of the address bar.

Nothing happens. I have to right-click on it to get menu options.

Have you restarted Chrome?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Yes but I think people are having the same problem in another thread, specially look at this comment:

I think the problem is with NIS standalone because in the Settings -> General tab and then next to Browser Extensions it gives the option "Install extension" under Google Chrome but it takes you to the older version of the Norton Toolbar. So I think NIS standalone has to be updated to either point to or be compatible with the updated Norton Toolbar.
