Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe crashes Firefox and Chrome
1 - In a ridiculously persistent manner and for an extremely long time for any company that wants to be taken seriously, Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe systematicaly crashes Firefox (all latest versions) and Chrome (all latest versions). This is well known to the Norton Community by now.
2 - All the answers provided by Norton Support to the hundreds of relevant threads revolve around the infuriating and (honestly) outrageous instruction of "uninstalling and reinstalling" either NIS or the browser or both. This is well known to the Norton Community by now.
3 - The so called "compatibility patches" that Norton issues in an effort to solve the problem are simply NOT solving the problem. This is well known to the Norton Community by now.
In my case the bug is so infuriatingly obvious as in "Firefox freezes when you click on the vault button in Norton Toolbar" without excluding of course frequent browser and/or computer freezes (depending on the state of the machine at the time) following a huge memory usage spike that is caused by NIS.
I am paying €50-€70 per year for a Norton Internet Security subscription. My question is fairly simple: will you finally (a) admit the problem, and (b) face it and solve it in the foreseeable future, or should I cancel my subscription now?
