Norton Utilities Install - No CD Drive

Received a Norton Utilities CD with my Security Deluxe package.

I don't have a CD drive but found an install file online: NU16.0.3.44-SMUI. Ran it, clicked on "Yes" to run as admin. but it didn't install. Running Win10.

Re: Norton Utilities Install - No CD Drive

The install requires a restart.  Did you do that?  If you have Fast Startup enabled and simply shut your machine down, that does not really shut the machine down.  It is a hybrid Hibernation instead.

www.norton.com/nu16 is a direct link to download the installer.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Re: Norton Utilities Install - No CD Drive

Restarted after disabling Fast Startup. No change.

When I attempt to install, I get the usual box: "Do You Want To Allow This App To Make Changes To Your Device ?". I select "yes", the box goes away, nothing else ... no subsequent dialog of any kind.

I can live without it; kind of a frill anyway.

Thanks, though.

Are you actually logged into Windows using an Admin account?  That's about the only thing I can think of.  Maybe a chat with Norton Support can get NU installed.
