Norton Utilities Premium Error Code 4

I have updated Norton Utilities Premium to version 21.4.1.199 when trying to activate I get

Error 4: The activation service is temporarily down. Please wait a while and try again

This has happened every time I try to activate for the last 3 weeks, I think I have waited long enough

Windows 10 Home 20H2 OS Build 19042.1110

Try reinstalling your NUP.  Take note of your product key, then uninstall NUP and restart your computer. Then enter your product key at   www.norton.com/setup . That should download and install NUP again.

Have reinstalled, now when I hit Activate Now, enter key, press Finish Activation, it shuts down NUP, Activate now is still there, go through process, shuts down, repeat ad nauseum. Gone from one problem to another!!! .

Did you use the norton.com/setup routine for the reinstall?

The first time it didn't work go the situation as described above, the second time it has worked.

Good news. Glad you got it sorted out. Maybe there was some temporary issue with the subscription server.
