When you perform certain tasks on a computer that requier you to restart your computer before you restart should you also turn off your VPN?

Re: Norton VPN

Not necessary. If you leave it on when you turn off or restart your computer it should be on again when the computer restarts. If you turn it off, it will be off after the restart.

Re: Norton VPN

Yes but there are times when you download something or update when you are required to restart your computer there will be a message telling you turn off any programs you have on before restarting the computer.

Re: Norton VPN

That message you get is more for programs that need to save some data or risk losing it. ie Any Word or Excel documents you might be working on.

NWP would come more in the classification of a service, like your anti virus. You would not turn off your anti virus before restarting.
