When I activate Norton VPN I can not access my mail. If I deactivate vpn everthing works all right . If I go on the web and do a search I get error messages. It seems that I am doing something stupid or VPN is not for me
Are you using the VPN function in the new Norton 360 product, or the standalone Norton Secure VPN?
Are you getting any error message when trying to access your email?
What error message do you get when doing searches? What search engine are you using?
I've found if I have errors or problems with connecting to sites, if I disconnect the VPN and reconnect to a different country the connections work. Sometimes just disconnecting / reconnecting can solve the problem.
Also, some web sites can determine that a VPN is being used, and will block access for security reasons. The idea being that if you are in one country, and your VPN shows you in another country, you could be a hacker trying to access your account.
Who is your email provider? I had this kind of issue with Gmail for a while.
