Each individual server in a specific region (like Canada or France) that is handling the VPN request can be slower or faster than other servers depending on load so you might try changing region and see if that helps. Remember that the VPN is only necessary when you are on an unsecure network so I only use it when accessing wifi outside of my home network. The amount the speed decreases can change based on a number of factors, such as time of day, or day of the week, etc. It all depends on the load currently placed on the specific VPN server (how many users are connected). You can try disconnecting the VPN and reconnecting it a few seconds later. Perhaps it'll pick up a different server. Hope that helps. Login or register to participate.
