Norton VPN slows down my windows 10. Started doing it recently.

My VPN has recently started slowing my windows 10 down. What can I do to resolve this issue. I can turn VPN off and my speed is back to normal.

Speed to and from a website using any VPN will be slower than no VPN.

Each individual server in a specific region (like Canada or France) that is handling the VPN request can be slower or faster than other servers depending on load so you might try changing region and see if that helps. Remember that the VPN is only necessary when you are on an unsecure network so I only use it when accessing wifi outside of my home network.

If you are referring to your network speed, then yes, VPN's inherently slow that down. The amount the speed decreases can change based on a number of factors, such as time of day, or day of the week, etc. It all depends on the load currently placed on the specific VPN server (how many users are connected). You can try disconnecting the VPN and reconnecting it a few seconds later. Perhaps it'll pick up a different server.

Hope that helps.
