Norton WiFi Privacy and Google searches

I get a Google message saying "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network" when I try a Google search.  I then have to go through identifying traffic, notices etc. in order to prove I am not a robot.  If I disable Norton WiFi privacy all of this stops.  Does anyone know what this is about?

Re: Norton WiFi Privacy and Google searches

If you are signed into Google, you are probably seeing the same thing I see with my Gmail. When I enable Norton Wifi Privacy, NWP, and try to access my Gmail, I get blocked with a message that Google thinks someone has my password. I have to log into Google to confirm it was me.

Unfortunately, I have found no way to get Google to play nice with the VPN. I just got used to turning off the VPN when I need to access my email.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

As far as I know I am not signed in to Google. I just use it as a search engine.

When you go to a Google page, or open a new tab in Google Chrome, look at the top right of the page, just below the address bar. If you see a colored circle with an initial in it, you are logged into Google. Or if you have signed into a Gmail account, you will probably still be signed in.
