Norton's app/service crashing in the background

I have noticed that whenever version updates are available Norton crashes in the background. I have been seeing some crashes of Norton apps including SymDaemon and com.symantec.mes.systemextension in the console. Not sure, if it's related to whether it crashed when update was available but I think the new version of Norton was available at that time or maybe the new installed version crashed because of bugs.
