Re: Noton Expiring

Are you getting this on all 6 devices. Did you enter the product key into each device?

What exact version of Norton Security did you purchase? The Premium version is the only one that covers more than 5 devices.

From your main Norton screen, click on Help - Subscription Status to have your Norton product sync with the subscriptions servers.  How many days does that screen show remaining on your subscription?

Re: Noton Expiring

How many Win 10 devices are affected? After running the Subscription Status, do these systems still display the warning message after a system restart? Not a Shutdown and startup again if you have the Windows 10 Fast Startup feature enabled.

As you say you are new to Norton, did you have another security software installed before Norton? Did you fully remove that using the removal utility for that software?

Re: Noton Expiring

I have 4 devices in windows and i have deleted and removed webroot from the system and the message seems to be on windows start up and yes fast start is enabled in all for devices  my other devices are android and not effected The message will clear at a point and time on the Norton expiring it seems to drag on start up with windows defender as well

Re: Noton Expiring

When you removed Webroot, did you use the removal utility from step 3 here?  Any remnants can cause issues with a Norton installation.

Windows Defender should not be running when you have a 3rd party AV installed.

With Fast Startup enabled, are you using the Restart option or Shut Down and starting up again? Shut Down does not give a complete system shutdown required to fully update running system files for software, including Norton. If you are using Restart, you are getting the full shutdown.

Re: Noton Expiring

Apparently Webroot no longer uses that removal tool for the current line of products and post version 7 of Windows. So as long as you uninstalled and restarted your computer before installing Norton you should not have any difficulties related to Webroot.

Re: Noton Expiring

Good news. Thanks for letting us know.

When you get the Windows 1809 update, it is always possible that some software packages can get messed up. Norton included. If a few system restarts do not solve the issue, a software reinstall is often needed.

One other thing to note. If you had the Windows Fast Startup feature disabled before the 1809 update, you might want to check it again. These major Windows updates tend to turn it back on without you knowing it.
