NPE Cannot Fix Detected Issue That I've Never Seen Before

Hello :)

I ran a full scan with NPE and it detected an infection that I've never seen before. I tried to remove it, but after the restart, the results said that the issue can't be fixed. I really don't know what to do here, as it seems this issue is causing my computer to slow down among other things. Below is are two screenshots of what I'm talking about. The first on shows the detection. The second, the failed fix notice.

It looks like that may be a legitimate Windows file or resource. That is why Norton could not fix it. NPE by its nature is a very aggressive scan, that is prone to false positives.

From your first image, try clicking on the Cloud icon to initiate a cloud scan of the detection.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

All: Although .job file extensions indicate "task manager" it could also indicate an outside remote attempt. If there isn't a remote login being used, IE work from home, etc. I would run Rkill allowing it to check for any malicious processes and terminate them if any are found. Then run a full scan with Malwarebytes to be extra sure nothing is amiss.

Cheers
