NS blocks email images, but after I D/L manually it deletes them

I'm on Win 7 x64 with latest NS installed and using Office 2016. I have NS set to block images on emails so I can choose which ones I want to see, but any I D/L disappear sometime in the near future. I then have to D/L again which is frustrating as the images may no longer be available to D/L. I would have thought manually D/L images would in effect be me saying they are safe. Why then does NS delete them without warning? I have searched the forums and found nothing about this yet, is there an option somewhere to allow what I want?

Hello Nartoon

Please check to see if you can set up your Outlook in Office to allow images or block images instead of having NS do it.

Thanks.

Re: NS blocks email images, but after I D/L manually it deletes them

Are you talking about email attachments or images that are inline in the body of the email?  Just about every email program blocks inline images for privacy reasons.  You need to change your email client's settings to see those.  Norton would not have anything to do with those, normally.

I also do not understand what you mean by "D/L."  Images in emails would either be inline or in an attachment.  If an inline image were not visible, you would not need to download the message again, the image information would still be there.  Of course, if the image had been removed from the server, you could no longer view it.  And, an attachment would also not need to be downloaded a second time, unless you have deleted the email it came with.
