Re: nsganywhere.js

That was a game. I downloaded this game from official website and this game required java thing but I can't remember what, directx and microsoft C++

I scanned my pc with norton scan and NPE to make sure I don't have any virus

And I'm pretty sure that game like "league of legends" can't be charmful

Re: nsganywhere.js

Axel please post a screenshot of the actual detection here is how:

https://community.norton.com/en/forums/how-post-image-forums-0

JAVA and javascript files are different though they are similar in nature. Files with the .js extension CAN be called upon by shared DLL (share library) files within the OS and executed, making them dangerous. C++ often will use these scripts.Lets see the actual detection and go from there.

Re: nsganywhere.js

I can't post it right now but it's located in scoped_dir(random numbers)/crx_install/nsg/scripts/nsganywhere.js

And I used free malwarebytes program to scan and still 0 detections

Re: nsganywhere.js

I found information only about crx_install. All posts about remove virus. Am I infected already? I have no idea what is crx_install

Re: nsganywhere.js

Since you found this in the norton community watch log, it may be that Norton is just tracking how common this file is and if it misbehaves on some computers. Your computer may be reporting that you had no trouble at all with this file.

Post the log you read this in so we can make a decent guess for you.

Re: nsganywhere.js

Axel, when you ran Malwarebytes did it perform a PUP program scan as well? The file directory you posted as "scoped_dir(random numbers)/crx_install/nsg/scripts/nsganywhere.js" and where it was generated would indicate a log was generated with the detection. However this directory could also be an indication of Farbar adware being installed and hidden per this article:

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/583027/getting-nonstop-adware/

Got to this site and ask them to assist just to make sure you are clean. Stick with them and they WILL work with you.

Cheers

Re: nsganywhere.js

Now I noticed it's something with google chrome.

After "scoped_dir(random numbers)/crx_install/nsg/scripts/nsganywhere.js" in static submission I have:

03 00 EA AF 0F 01 00 04 00 00.... more numbers /Program files

More numbers like before.................................../Google/Chr

More numbers....................................................ome/Application/chrome.exe.$.....

And 2 more lines full of numbers.

Maybe it's just chorme update and I just panic?

I don't have any issues with ads pop

Re: nsganywhere.js

Axel In Chrome check your extensions for a YOUTUBE downloader extension being active. Specifically "Fast Tube". That could be the source of your last post.
