Online passwords disabled after NIS scan

NIS is disabling my online banking password and id every time a scan is ran. "Save on line id" is checked on the bank's site, but after a  quick or full system scan it's gone. I then have to login again and sometimes I have to answer their security questions all over again. This is also happening with other sites where my password is saved.

My OS is Win 8.1  and Win 10 on my other systems. I am using the  Norton  Security Premium.

I find this to be very annoying, and has been going on with past NIS software as well, but I have been ignoring it. Changing the cookie scan to "ignore" in settings does not work.  HELP... Thanks

Re: Online passwords disabled after NIS scan

Check your browser settings for cookie retention and use. Some users have the browser set to delete cookies when the browser is closed. This will remove your logins. Set the browser to accept session cookies. Just make sure you do not accept 3rd party cookies.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Online passwords disabled after NIS scan

Hello

Please try turning off Fast Startup.  I don't know about Edge, but if similar to IE 11, you can try this. Please go to your Bank's webpage. Open up your Favorites Toolbar and add site as a Favorite. Now go to Tools>Internet Options>Browsing History>Delete, Make sure that the top item is checked off Be sure the top item is checked. Preserve Favorite Website Data>Apply .Back out of it .

Don't know if this will work or exists for Win 8 or 10 However. Sorry about that. This works for IE 11 in Windows 7.

Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.18.0.213 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.
