OPERA Browser with Norton Products

I may only be guessing, but like me, I am sure there are many customers 'stuck' with Windows XP on at least one of their devices due to compatibility issues between later OS's and their business or industrial software.

XP was around/supported for an extended period of time, consequently many software applications were developed for it. In my case communications and programming software for industrial machinery (some of which may be be 30 years old) (I also sometimes need to run some DOS/95/98/ stuff too!)

With some industrial software it becomes necessary for me to connect to the Internet at the same time for help documents/translation (eg: Google translation of foreign documents) so the answer is not simply "use an up to date browser for XP or use a different device" (can't copy & paste between devices)

Internet Explorer is no longer safe to use on XP, (or Chrome apparently) and I don't think Norton supports Firefox going forward either. I believe Opera will be supported on XP for longer.

I hope that made some sense!

Any comments, advice or help muchvappreciated.

Re: OPERA Browser with Norton Products

Hello Richard. Unfortunately Norton products do not support the Opera browser per this article: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v59829706_EndUserProfile_en_us

Here is a link with some suggestions for antivirus support on the OS's you are referring to. Having a combination of older OS's and browsers does present a unique situation. https://support.eset.com/kb37/
