Password Generator?

Why doesn't Identity Safe include a password generator? This is a serious deficiency compared to similar products, such as LastPass.

Re: Password Generator?

In Norton Security and Norton Security with Backup, select Identity from the main page UI and the Password generator will be on the right.

Re: Password Generator?

But that assumes you are aware of that feature every time you sign up/change password , plus visit the webpage.
But counterparts provide such functionality without much burden like above.

Re: Password Generator?

I don't know how anyone can live online without a password safe considering all the requirements to change passwords periodically,.  (albeit most thieves have gone beyond attempting individual logins to syphoning money directly from financial services.)  Until Medicare announced that I have to change passwords every 60 days, I put off letting Norton generate passwords for me.   I assumed it would be a seamless way to go to a random generator while editing credentials.  The apparent implementation, however, is kludged. It is no more than a hyperlink within the Norton App as indicated above.  It is just as many clicks and more intuitive to retrieve the link out of favorites, as to open  the app and choose the identity safe module to find the link.  Interestingly, if I have Identity-safe opened on the desktop as I frequently do, password generator is not among the options.  ( I can choose logins, addresses, wallet, notes, but not password generator.  If I do use the generator, I have an extra browser tab open and have to copy and paste the password where it is needed.  And for whatever reason sites are busily masking the requests for password so that Norton doesn't recognize one has been updated.  The least I am asking is for the function to be built into editing creds within IDSAFE such that a password is generated and saved in the login.  Ideally, one could use the pull down menu for Norton add in to choose generate a password wherever the input cursor is currently even when Norton doesn't recognize it as a password prompt, although it could take that action as a clue that it is.

Re: Password Generator?

Why is the password generator a website? Wouldn't it make more sense to generate the password locally?
