Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

Yesterday I updated Windows 10 Home to version 1803 (new feature version).  Now, Password Generator (used by selecting Password Generator on Norton Security, which opens in a Chrome browser) will not give me more than about 14.5 passwords!  It fills the first page of the browser, and I can not drag the scroll bar down to see ALL the passwords!

I have tried removing/reinstalling the Norton Identify Safe and Norton Toolbar extensions--no luck.

I have tried running Get Support in Norton Security--no luck.

Password Generator is messing up Chrome!  Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

See this screenshot (below).  NOTE--I DID NOT USE ANY OF THESE PASSWORDS, IT IS SAFE TO DISPLAY.  Notice how the scroll bar doesn't go very far; NOWHERE NEAR 50 PASSWORDS, even though I asked it to generate 50 passwords!  Thanks.

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

Update:  This problem replicates in my MS Edge browser as well.  I CAN NOT SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL 50 PASSWORDS GENERATED--I CAN'T EVEN TELL IF 50 PASSWORDS WERE GENERATED.  (This issue began AFTER I updated to Windows 10 Home Version 1803, aka OS Build 17134.1, aka 10.0.17134 Build 17134...Hey MS...too many stupid numbers lol)  Anyway, Password Generator is belly-up in BOTH my Chrome and Edge browsers.  Please, someone...fix it.)

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

First. Do not reinstall your Norton Security product to try to fix this. Any issue is with the web site you are directed to. NS just redirects you to that site.

I'll bring this to Norton's attention.

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

peterweb, thanks!  As of 6:42 PM Central Time, it's still behaving that way.  I have made no further modifications to my system, to include Norton Security, Norton Identity Safe extension, and Norton Security Toolbar extension.  Bizarre behavior...weird how it freezes downward scrolling in the browser...    Hope Norton can figure this out soon.  Thanks again!!

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

It has nothing to do with your browser or the Norton extensions. It is something in the code for that web page that is not allowing the scrolling of the generated passwords.

Although I have escalated this issue, it is not something as simple as flipping a switch. The code has to be located and then changed and then tested before it can be released. And we are going into the weekend, so I doubt anyone will even read my request for escalation until Monday. And even then, there is nothing to say that this is going to be bumped to the top of any priority list.

I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

This COULD be related guys. MS really borked Chrome this time around.

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

Although that may be a problem to watch for, I do not think it applies here. From above...

Anybody else having the same issue, I wonder?

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

peterweb and Sunil_GA, thanks to you both.  (Don't know if it is related in any way; but for your info, today I did Windows 10 2018-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems [KB4103721], and noticed no change.)  Thanks again for reporting the issue!

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

Okay, so...yeah...  It has now been 27 days since this issue was reported, and it still doesn't work properly.

Chrome IS NOT SHOWING all passwords requested.  Microsoft Edge IS NOT SHOWING all passwords requested.  BOTH BROWSERS are still non-scrollable, past a certain point--approximately 12 to 14 passwords ONLY are visible.

Gents, do we have any idea when users can expect the Password Generator web page to function properly again?  Thanks!

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

Hello

Did you get the latest Chrome that came out today I believe? Do you have the latest extensions?

Have a Nice Day and

Thanks.

Re: Password Generator Not Working Properly in Chrome

Hello, yes, everything is current:  Norton Identity Safe Version 5.3.3.5, 31 May 2018; Norton Security Toolbar Version 2018.14.1.172, 19 April 2018; and Google Chrome Version 67.0.3396.62 (Official Build) (64-bit).  The web page (https://my.norton.com/extspa/idsafe?path=pwd-gen) won't show all 50 passwords, and I can't scroll down to see them.  It's as if the scroll bar is "stuck," or maybe the page length is limited to a certain number of lines.

As you probably noticed in a previous post to this thread, peterweb is having the same issue--he "confirmed my observation."  So, there is apparently something wrong with the way the web page is laid out/coded.

Thank you, too.

Hello

I gave it a try. I don't use Chrome at all.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.
