Password Incorrect message changing settings

Followed directions and uninstalled Norton 360 and re-installed to be able to change settings. Still getting Password Incorrect when I enter correct password. Any other solutions? Why doesn't Norton allow me to change my settings? (product is up to date with latest version as well as Windows)
