Re: Patch available

This patch is ONLY available via LiveUpdate, and is being released in a phased manner. You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version.

Re: Patch available

This is not a new version. I have already installed 22.17.1.50. Today the version has not changed. It remains 22.17.1.50

Re: Patch available

Do you have the New Norton 360?  Maybe it was the update to the included VPN.

Norton Secure VPN 2.5 for Windows has been released!

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Re: Patch available

All: My history shows 8 live update sessions since login this morning. The biggest was at boot time ( 6 files ), no patch seen nor reboot required. N360 Deluxe w/VPN 5 devices, version 22.17.1.50. @GennadyKatz

When you said you opened "View Summary", are you looking in your Norton "History" under "Live Update" in the drop down menu. There would be some info there regarding each live update session you have had today and can be reviewed. Was a reboot required when you received the patch?

@GennadyKatz

How long since you last started your computer before you started up this morning. If you had not started the computer for some days it could be you just got the last patch that was released.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Patch available

Hi @GennadyKatz,
Do pics look familiar?

NGC is an internal abbreviation for the Norton core products (Norton Security, Norton Internet Security, Norton 360).

Re: Patch available

Not all patches will change the product version number.

What is this NGC shortcut? Full name?

Re: Patch available

we can imagine .....Norton Group Core (Norton Core Group)

an internal abbreviation for the Norton core products (Norton Security, Norton Internet Security, Norton 360).

... internal abbreviation may not stand for anything other than an internal designation

Re: Patch available

Last week we made some minor backend changes and performance improvements to Norton Browser protection feature. Update was released via LiveUpdate and reboot less patch update. Note: No version change for this patch update.
