PC Cleaner Pro

Hello.  Belarc Advisor tells me I have remnants of "PC Cleaner Pro", which I partially removed a couple of years ago.  Now it's time to completely clean it off.  Norton Security has not detected it.  I read where Symantec recognizes this as malware.  I ran "Power Eraser" two times; it detected two Registry errors and resolved one, but it failed on the other.  Whether this is related to "PC Cleaner Pro" I cannot tell.  I have screen shots which show this and I am attaching them.  Because "PC Cleaner Pro" is considered malware, I am hoping that Norton Security can help me clean it up and resolve the Registry issue.  Let me know if you need more information.  Thanks in advance.

Re: PC Cleaner Pro

What do you mean by you partially removed PC Cleaner Pro?

Can you see any reference to PC Cleaner Pro in Control Panel - Programs?

From https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-pc-cleaner-pro-2018/  it would appear that this is a PUP, a Possibly Unwanted Program. While they are annoying, they do not cause damage to your system. Some people actually want the 'Features' offered by these programs. They are usually downloaded alongside a legitimate download when you do not uncheck the option for the additional download.

Norton products concentrate on malware that can damage your system, that is why some PUPs are not detected.

I would suggest a second opinion scan using the FREE version of Malwarebytes. You can find it here http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

Be sure you do not accept the offer of the free trial of the Premium version.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
