Pending error

I have the full package Norton 360 for Mac, I cannot open 360, I just get a pending error, I have tried all the fixes except installing 8.74 because I cannot open Norton live update to be able to install it. I have been frustrated with Norton for what seems like forever, I will not be renewing my subscription if I cannot get support for this
