Re: Pop ups!!!!!!

What are the pop ups that you see? Are they from your browser? What is the version of Norton 360 you use?

Hi Lippym:

Could you run a Hijackthis log and a Malwarebytes log.

http://www.malwarebytes.org

Hijackthis is a fast scan you you could do that first.  With Malwarebytes, download the free version, install, update, and run a full scan.  Delete what it finds.

Please post both logs here using the "add attachments" link below the orange post button.

Are the pop-ups appearing as you browse the web?  Maybe the page you are visiting are opening the pop-ups but the open as a background hidden out of view.  This way the pop-ups can accumulate and you notice them after you close the "main" browser window.

Another diagnostic is that you may have some malware installed on you PC.  Try updating the Norton 360 and performing a "full scan".  In addition, you can perform an online virus scan to detect the virus that may evade dection by installed programs like n360.
