This image (see attachment) won't go away from my screen - no matter what!! This is terribly annoying. How can I get this to go away?
Yes I have had this twice today - never before. The last one said a massive global cyber attack affecting many systems across the world...but there is nothing on any news channels. Is this an issue with Nortons virus software?
Here is some information from Krebs on Security about the KRACK wifi vulnerability. It is real, and not a software issue.
I understand that the issue is real - but so is the fact that Norton is spamming my desktop with this stupid popup I can't get rid of. It is just trying to get me to buy the VPN (which I have).
Perhaps if I un-install Norton and opt for a different package it will go away??
Have you gone into Norton Security Settings - Administrative Settings, and scroll down and turn off Special Offer Notifications?
I have just gone and done that - we'll see what happens. Oddly enough - just this time - and not before - the pop-up appeared with an option to "don't show this again".
I'm going to mark this as solved.
