Possible fix for the Frequent Service Tamper E-mails Issue

Dear customers,
A few of you have observed Accessibility service tamper e-mails being sent continuously from your child's Android phone. We have released a fix in the latest Beta version (4.8.0.16) to Play Store. We request those of you who are observing this issue, to sign up for the Beta program, try out the latest version and share with us the feedback.

Thanks,

How do we sign up for the Beta program?  I'm not finding the beta version on the Play Store.

Hi @Sailor Nick,

Please Sign up as Beta tester for Norton Family and then when you visit the Play Store URL for Norton Family, you should fond the Beta version for download.

Re: Possible fix for the Frequent Service Tamper E-mails Issue

    Dear customers,

We hope that those of you who had noticed this e-mail burst issue have registered for the Beta program and have verified/are verifying the fix. We want to share a little context of why this issue is being noticed:

We noticed this issue occurring in some specific devices due to performance optimizations in the device and also an issue in our code. We have made a fix from our side and released it for Beta.

We encourage all users facing the issue to install our latest beta version and check if the issue is resolved.

    Thanks,

    Norton Family team.

Re: Possible fix for the Frequent Service Tamper E-mails Issue

I installed the beta version on three of our children's phones and we are still getting the continuous stream of emails saying that Accessibility turned off. It is really a nuisance. Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

Have installed the beta version on both of my children's Moto E5 Play devices and on the one where I have disabled the Moto Display service, it appears that the messages have stopped.  On the other where I have not yet disabled the Moto Display service, I still continue to get many messages with no discernable pattern.

Re: Possible fix for the Frequent Service Tamper E-mails Issue

    Dear customers,

We see that this issue is occurring in some Motorola Mobiles with Android version > 7.1. This is occurring due to the latest version of Moto Display service. We request customers affected by this issue to disable this Moto Display service, as a workaround. We will be addressing this issue soon.

    Regards,
    Norton Family team.
