Post-Lithium Inquiries

Hi, all.

Back when Norton Community was on Lithium, I was able to do the following, which I don't know how to do now.

1) How do I embed an image in a post (I don't mean File Attachment)?

2) How do I turn regular text into hypertext by inserting a link into it (e.g. by turning the word "here" into a link to Amazon)?  When I tried to do that by clicking the chain link button, I was able to turn the text blue; but when I clicked the blue text link, it didn't redirect me anywhere.

3) How do I change font color?

Thanks.

Re: Post-Lithium Inquiries

Thanks, Krusty13.  Darn! I just turned off my computer (posting from a tablet at the moment), so l'll have to wait till tomorrow to see whether those instructions work for me.

So are there similar tutorials for numbers 2 and 3 above that you can link me to, Krusty13?  Thanks.

"here" works for me. I first highlighted the word here then I clicked the chain link button and pasted your op url https://community.norton.com/en/forums/post-lithium-inquiries into the URL box and clicked OK. Is this what you do?

3) How do I change font color?

Not available at present, in the future who knows.....

Re: Post-Lithium Inquiries

Thanks, Rainbow_2.

Did 1 and 2 successfully above.  I think I failed at 2 previously because I attempted to do it on a tablet (hard to do these things on a touchscreen).

Now, since both you and Krusty13 each solved a portion of my problem, which one of you want to be awarded the green check mark for the resolution in this thread?

I don't mind if you give it to Rainbow_2.

Thanks Inquirer and Krusty13 but I think the “first come first served” rule should be applied

No no  -  the solution is yours.  You provided much more information than I.  All I did was copy / paste a thread title.

Inquirer

Just a comment that may explain part of what you said you encountered earlier:

but when I clicked the blue text link, it didn't redirect me anywhere.

If you were still in the Editor and wanted to check that the link was OK before posting or continuing to write, the active links (or full URLs when posted I believe) do not work at that stage but if you scroll down and click on Preview then you can check that the link works as you want it to.

Then Back takes you Back to the editor to finish your message and to click on the Save which in fact does the Post

Hi, Rainbow_2.

You're quite right about "first come first served".  Since Krusty13 was also the first to reply the second time, and he said I could award you the green check mark, his wishes stand.

Hi, huwyngr.

I had already "saved" the post when I clicked the links.  I ended up going back to the Editor to repost the URLs as they were.  Like I said in my first reply to Rainbow_2, l think it probably had something to do with posting from a tablet...compatibility issues.
