Power Eraser not able to delete corrupt registry value

Re: Power Eraser not able to delete corrupt registry value

I am getting repeated messages that I have a lot of outbound activity.  When I run Power Eraser, if points to a specific resgistry value in USERS\s-1-5-21-45944130-1683744220-2605956005-1002\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\"start.page" which points to www. dregol . com.  This is apparently a search engine sending outbound traffic (search?) as well as constantly redirecting me to other web pages (did so 5 times trying to get to this point on forum page).  Power Eraser can't fix it, and when i attempt to delete in with regedit, it comes back as soon as I reboot.  How can I get rid of this?

Hello

If that KB doesn't help you, you can go to one of the free malware removal sites and sign up with one of them. Stay with it until they say your computer is clean.

Please see this link for an up to date description of these sites plus the addition of a newly listed site formed by one of our successful malware remover users. The new site is listed first in this link.

Please come back and let us know how you made out.

Thanks.
