Welcome David,

What is the extension on the backup file?

I didn't search too far but it looks like the product is no longer supported by Symantec/Norton

There may be another PowerQuest user here who can help, otherwise those files may be lost.

Stay tuned

Re: PowerQuest Drive Image

PowerQuest Drive Image files (.pqi) are supported by Ghost.

If you want to recover files and folders you can use the Ghost image explorer:

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/linked_files/Ghost/Norton%20Ghost%20Image%20Browser.exe

Thats a portable tool that needs no installation, just run it and browse to the pqi file.

If you want to restore the whole partition or system you can use the Ghost 15 recovery disk.

Re: PowerQuest Drive Image

Well, I'm impressed with this forum!

The files are .pqi and I will download the Ghost 15 recovery iso as suggested and give it a go tonight.

My thanks to you both.

Re: PowerQuest Drive Image

If you restore the XP system and it has Drive image installed you can get to your installation key.

When you open the program you click the top let corner of the program window and select "about drive image"

The screen that comes up will show your key.

I have the setup files for Drive Image 2002, if you want a copy let me know and I will make it availible to you.
