Printer not working with Norton

My printer (HP LaserJet Pro MFP M447) is not working.  I tried adding the MAC address in the Firewall/General Settings/Device Trust portion.  I've also tried reinstalling the printer, turning off the Smart Firewall, etc.  I am at my wits end and please can someone help me?

I have Norton Lifelock

I am running Window 10

I just get an error code from my printer and it cannot print.

The irony is that it works perfectly fine from my husband's computer...which is running Windows 7.

Norton LifeLock is the company name. What product are you using? Norton 360, Norton Security?

Do you have the VPN feature enabled on the device trying to access the printer? If so, try turning off the VPN. It is not needed to connect to a printer on your home network.

What is the exact error message you get when you try to print?

How is your printer connected? Wifi, printer cable, or network?

Try going into Windows Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners. Remove your printer and then restart your computer. Then check settings again to see if the printer is installed again after the restart. If not, try installing the computer again.
