Problem solved - Transfer NIS days to NS days

Hi guys,

Just want to let you guys know that my problem with the days I had on my NISv21 key and wanted to transfer the days to the new NSv22 is solved..

After 4 chat sessions with Norton Chat Support they did the job correct, I had to pay for a new NSv22 key though, costed me 79.99USD.

I had a key that was valid till 2019, chat support told me they can only tranfer 1400 days, I told them that was fine, I lost 1 year though..

I can now protect 5 PC's and not 3 PC's.

Took me a long time to get this done, I wanted to say that the communication within Norton could be a lot better, Norton Chat Support should have been contacted sooner and updated so that they know how to handle..

Glad to see you got your issue squared away.No consumer should have had to jump through hoops like yourself and others have done.Hopefully Symantec has learned a valuable lesson. You know darn well that if something like this happened to business users, things would have been dealt with more in a more forthright and concrete and consistent manner.

Strange to see you've got any problems at first. They gladly transfer NIS days into NS after paying them 79$... As I was told today.

Well, they still discuss upgrade policy (why now? why not few months before?).

I have also transferred mine.

The first chat session today said that they could not transfer them to a trial NS subscription.

The second chat session transferred them to a trial NS subscription!

Same with me. The first chat only wanted to move my remaining Norton 360 premier days to a new license. The second chat transferred them to my trial Norton Security with Backup. I'am again happy with Symantec!

So, you got a free Upgrade + all days + more seats

What did you say in 2nd chat? Any magic words?

Yes, went from 5 to 10 seats. Backup was already in my other license. All days were transferred.

Re: Problem solved - Transfer NIS days to NS days

This is becoming a fiasco.

Some have to buy the new version and then get a prorated number of days transferred and others use a Trial version and get all their days transferred.

Norton really has a communication problem with their support group.

They released the new versions with bugs and a confusing plan for upgrades.

I guess that is what happens when they keep changing CEO's and eliminating middle management.
