Problems with Live streaming

I am unable to live stream videos from the Optus sports website. I have tried in chrome, firefox and tried to exclude it from the program control as well. I have also made my network trusted. Nothing seems to work. Even if I disable smart firewall and Auto-protect it doesn't work.

Re: Problems with Live streaming

Hello Anil04 Have you tried getting your stream on Edge and IE11 (if you have windows 10)? If on Windows 10 have you downloaded the app from their website and installed? Supported browsers are listed here. Although I get a "browser warning" when I go to this site stating 1E11 is not fully supported. Clear your browser caches and restart the browser of choice and try to duplicate this issue.

Also if you are getting a blocked warning from Norton please post a screenshot for us to review. Here is how to post screenshots to the forums.

Re: Problems with Live streaming

I am using Windows 8.1. There is no message that says Norton has blocked the live stream but the stream doesn't work on any browser. It works on my phone so there are no problems with the site or my subscription.

Re: Problems with Live streaming

Anil. Shut down "fast start" on Windows 8.1. Clear your browser(s) cache for each browser you have installed. Reboot your computer.

What browser do you use most? Knowing a few small things will help on my end.

Additionally, run the Norton Removal Tool from this site and follow its directions. Please do not forget to reboot once this install is done, then run live update until no updates are available and reboot once again. Once rebooted run live update again for any remaining updates. Try duplicating your issue.

Re: Problems with Live streaming

Thank you for your reply. Here's what i've done.

1. I removed the fast start option from windows 8.1

2.Cleared cache from chrome and firefox. (I use chrome more than firefox)

3.Ran the norton removal tool, installed the new version and done a live update.

4.After this i tried to run the live stream with no success.

Anything else you can suggest. What could be going wrong?

Re: Problems with Live streaming

Do you know if the video is HTML5 or if it uses Adobe Flash Player?  Maybe you need to allow Flash Player for the site in your browser.

I any case, I doubt it is Norton so you might be better asking Optus.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Re: Problems with Live streaming

According to your problem it sounds like you use norton or flash player need to be updated however if you use norton connect safe or any norton product contact support and tell them about this issue as far norton connect safe has this issue too they told me they are working on it

Re: Problems with Live streaming

FWIW, have a look at this article for guidance and compatibility. As I previously stated connecting to their site I was presented with a banner stating my browser IE11 was not fully supported. Contact Optus support for their assistance.
