Re: Problems viewing this forum with FireFox

Hi Sea_Monster,

Open the browser in its safe mode by clicking Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode).  This disables all add-ons.  If you do not see the issue in safe mode then one of your add-ons is blocking something that is needed to display the page correctly.  Trial and error in selectively turning off individual extentions should find the culprit, if you determine that this is the cause of the trouble.

Okay, I shall try.....I noticed that I did not have this problem with other versions of FF....... I have stop using FF for about 9 months and since return to using FF.

Thank you for your help.

Sea_Monster -

If you refresh the page in FF, does the page eventually load correctly and view the same as IE?

I have the same problem from time to time and a reload usually fixes the view.  It seems that some of the many URLs that make up the Forum pages is way slower than the others (in my case, I believe it is norton.i.lithium.com but I could be wrong).

In other words, it is norton that is giving this problem.....strange, I don't remember having this issue before.

Really, I find it rather cumbersome to reload every now and then.

P/S:- Just discovered that the problems DOES not alway happened.  My computer at work is okay but the one at home gives me the problem.

I will try.

Thank you

Correct!! starting in Mozilla safe mode cured the problems.  It also cured another problem with my dad's notebook.

Thank you so much.

Guess I have to install add ons one at a time.

Re: Problems viewing this forum with FireFox

Hi Sea_Monster,

Programs designed to block stuff, such as NoScript and Adblock Plus can frequently cause these sorts of issues.  Once you determine which addon is responsible you might see if going into its settings and allowing Norton.com, Lithium.com and Symantec.com fixes the problem without having to remove the extension.  Good luck.
