Product Activation

I have followed all the directions.

I have a product key [edit].

But the password I insert is not recognised.

When I indicate "forgot password,"

I am directed to check my email ([edit]) and

there will be a temporary password.

I have done this at least 30 times without success.  What's most frustrating

is that a window keeps popping up on my compcuter asking me to do it yet again!

Please help!

Please PLEASE don't post your product key on a public forum where anyone can see it!!!! Very important, for your own sake.

Neither is posting your email publically on a forum a good idea, unless you want it to be picked up by spam bots.

There seems to be a problem with the mynortonaccount.com website. It is badly or not responding.

Just wait and see if it works in a few hours.

I have the same problem - renewed my subscription but cannot activate it because it doesn't recognize the password I put in and I can't get it to issue me a temporary one!!  Symantec should fix this NOW

finally got a temporary password which will expire - but it doesn't recognize the password I set up when I re-upped my subscription - can't seem to find a way to reset this password

Have yo tried OnLine CHAT -- they may be aable to help if there's a server problem?

To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.

You can choose CHAT or Email; email or phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.

Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.

Activation can be done through the product itself by clicking the "Renew" link at the bottom of the Norton window and entering your Product Key in the space provided/

Once inside your Norton Account, click the "Profile" link at the top of the page and then open the "Change Password" tab to make password changes.
