Product should be able to Detect when a Background Task is Running

Product should be able to Detect when a Background Task is Running; should wait until that Task is "Completed" before Running in order to prevent it being "Cancelled".

Re: Product should be able to Detect when a Background Task is Running

Can you please explain once more what is it that you see today and what is it that you would like to see? A background scan is running, you try to run the manual scan at the same time and then you cancel the manual scan?

Re: Product should be able to Detect when a Background Task is Running

What happens at the moment is if a Background Task is Running and then the user either puts on Silent Mode or runs Norton LiveUpdate, the Background Task gets Cancelled; or say the user is currently already Running Norton LiveUpdate and a Background Task tries to Run and gets Cancelled.  What I would like to see would be if a Background Task is being Run and another Background Task is wanting to Run, it should wait unti one Task is Finished before attempting to Run, which should also include Norton LiveUpdate.  Let me know if this makes things clearer; thank-you.
