Purchase a Subscription Extension from Amazon and cannot install - HELP!

I purchased a subscription extension from Amazon and received a Product Key, but cannot find where to enter it via the Norton Website or the Norton program on my computer.

I tried to contact Norton via Chat Help, and keep getting a 502 - Web Server Error.

Please offer any help you can.

Thanks,

Greg

From the main Norton screen, click on Help, then Enter Product Key at the bottom right. Be sure you do this with only one or two days remaining on your old subscription as you will lose any remaining time.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Wow, that was obviously not there when I searched and searched.  Thanks a lot for the quick help.  I will also heed your advice with respect to when to renew given the unavailability of the Chat Help.

I agree with the above comment..   I think the placement of the Update Key as part of help is a ridiculous place to put it.  In fact, I believe it is a deliberate attempt by Norton to "encourage" users to renew subscriptions directly from Norton.  Which would be wonderful, if the Norton.com was not the most expensive place to purchase subscriptions.

Come On!!! Don't deliberately frustrate me!

Also - I wish this option was the first thing provided by the tech support agent I had to call in order to figure this out ( Incident #............) [private information removed by Admin] .  We spent lot's of time trying to download the product from FireFox.  Then was told that this does not work with FireFox, so we went to Edge.  And finally, I was told that the only way to install Norton is if I am logged into THE Administrator account (not just logged in as an Administrator).

Can someone comment if this is an actual issue with Norton?  Does not sound good!!

Totally disappointed and frustrated...

Hello siegmjd

Yes, you should install your Norton product using an Administrator  account. Also, if you need to make any changes to the settings in the program, you will need to use the Administrator account also.

If you give us the name of the program, we can give you a link for the program to be able to download the program, then you install the program and enter the key for the program. Don't forget to run Live Update until you have no more updates. Then restart one final time. You should be good to go then. Enjoy your program.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.

Our experience would indicate that any account with Admin privilege will suffice for installation and maintenance of your Norton products.

Hi Floplot,

Thanks for taking the time to respond.  And I agree that an account with Administrator access should work.  My concern is that I was told that ONLY THE Administrator account (the default Admin account) will work.

Per other posts to this message, I think consensus is that any Admin account should work...
