Re: pwd mgr export dat file function gone ???

Hello mostlyretired. Did you follow this guide to export? Step #5 says:

In the Export pane, select the file format.

You can select one of the following:

  • Password Manager Backup Format - DAT File

If you want to back up your data with a password for more security, type and confirm the password.

  • Plain Text - CSV file (Logins & Notes only)

Its recommended to save to a CSV type file so it can be edited in Excel.

Cheers

Also note, you don't need to open a browser, you can open Norton and click on the Internet Security tile and open your vault there, which has the export links too.

Re: pwd mgr export dat file function gone ???

The problem is that feature is missing in the Browser extensions.

Also you can not import the passwords from a dat or csv file using the Browser extension.

The Browser extension is suppose to be a stand alone product and not dependent on having Norton Security installed.
