Re: Question USB network drive

Hello RayLab The "fix" you are proposing for Core setup with Satellite internet is not a Norton issue at all. It resides with the Satellite provider NOT allowing access third party DNS servers per the article you posted. Nothing actually there for Norton to resolve. Following the guidelines within the article above will allow for setup of Core.

To decrease the network latency, most of the satellite ISPs use their own DNS servers and perform DNS caching. They also block the access to custom or third-party DNS servers, which includes Secure DNS that Norton Core uses as part of the security solution

To date within the Core app only printer sharing over USB 3.0 is available. However a Norton employee states in this thread NAS is supported. I do not use an NAS and therefore cannot validate his post for you:

via Ethernet and Wifi. Not USB as the OP is asking.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Question USB network drive

peterweb I believed I answered the OP's original question with this statement asking about support for a USB network drive " To date within the Core app only printer sharing over USB 3.0 is available".  Meaning if a USB NAS is plugged into one of the 3 USB ports via a USB cable it is NOT supported. The reference to the post from Benz is self answering as it answers the issue of NAS support with the other two interfaces available. Cheers
