Random Notifications

From time-to-time we receive Norton 360 notifications similar to the following....."The computer XXXX:XX:XXXXX:XXXXXXXX" is attempting to access bosUpdateProxy on your computer. Do you want to allow this connection?"  It provides buttons to Block or Allow. When one of these is chosen it sometimes continues to repeat the message.  

Is there a way to block these types of messages from Norton. Very annoying and at times can't get them off the screen. 

MacBook Air is the computer we are receiving the messages on. Uses Google Chrome browser.
