Real-time agent conflict

I use PCMatic as my protection from malware, viruses, and other network borne bad guys.  The PCMatic function that protects my PC is called SuperShield which is a real-time agent.  Norton 360 performs a similar function. Having both running makes my PC very slow when doing other things.  I use Norton 360 to create and maintain my backups.  I would like to disable the Norton function that is monitors the network and let PCMatic do those functions.  How can I disable the Norton network monitoring function but keep the backup app?

Re: Real-time agent conflict

If you prefer another malware protection software, it might be best to uninstall Norton 360 and research a standalone backup product. Maybe look into a disc imaging solution like Macrium Reflect. Or you can look into other online backup services.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I agree with @peterweb.  Norton is not designed to be used in the way you describe so you would be better off with a separate backup program.
