Recent patch?

Hi I use Norton INTERNET Security and I have version

I ran a manual live update on 9/13/17 and it downloaded about 8 updates. After I finished a message came up asking if i wanted to install the patch now or later. I installed it at that time. But when I went back and looked at the list of items that came with the updates, it didnt show anything that said patch.

there was an item that said Norton Internet Security Product Update. was that the patch?

Also when I looked at my product version it still showed even after i restarted my laptop. should that have changed?

Thanks for your patience. Our engineering team has released a NORTON PEEK HOTFIX via LiveUpdate, which turns off Norton Peek entirely. This will download via LiveUpdate automatically, or you can run LiveUpdate manually to receive the hotfix. It will appear as "NS Product Update" in LiveUpdate, and will not require a reboot for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 systems. It will require a reboot for Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Patches are formally called Product Updates.

This product update did not change the version.


Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.
