Red exclamation point after upgrading

I just upgraded to NS 22.5.0.124, and now I have a red exclamation point on my NS tray icon because I have Antiphising and Norton Safe Web disabled. I had them disabled in the previous version, but now when I open the console I get a big red "Attention" and it wants to "Fix Now". How do I get this version to ignore the fact that I have these features disabled, as it did in the previous version? (Enabling them is not a solution)

With 120... I can turn Off Safe Web with no duration dialog.  No Attention
Turn Off Antiphishing prompts duration dialog and Attention (orange)

Product State Monitoring has been removed since 120 so I'm not sure if you can turn off that alert now.  You can thank those that don't care what we want but instead feel we should have as they want.

Why don't we put in a suggestion that the Product Suggestion board be discontinued, for reasons that should be obvious to all users........

Hi Cloudcroft,

It would be mighty helpful if you could send me the logs. Could you please take a look at your inbox when you find time? Thanks.

Seriously?  You release an update that has removed a 'feature', or function, then ask for logs?  Wow!

Here, Symantec deserve another .

Re: Red exclamation point after upgrading

I agree with Krusty13. The product should act as we want and not how someone else may want. I'm not pleased that this ability/feature has been removed.

I have Disk Optimization turned off since I use Raxco PerfectDisk Professional 13 to look after my hard disk automatically (whereas Norton would prefer that I use the inferior Windows Defragmenter). Thankfully I don't receive a warning (using version 22.5.0.124) concerning this feature being disabled but since SafeWeb AntiPhishing does generate such a warning, it may only be a matter of time before I start to be constantly reminded about Disk Optimization.

Please Symantec/Norton use the feedback in this thread wisely. Thank you.

...are you sure SafeWeb generates Attention ... ?  or, only Antiphishing

Re: Red exclamation point after upgrading

Hi bjm_

You're correct. I just tested this and disabling Safe Web didn't generate attention/a warning. Only disabling Antiphishing generates attention. I'll correct my post above to reflect this. Thanks.

Re: Red exclamation point after upgrading

Hi Cloudcroft,

Can you please follow the below path and 'ignore' Safe Surfing?
Open the Main UI -> Security tab -> Security -> Advanced -> Hover cursor over 'Safe Surfing' -> Click on Ignore

Please let me know if this helps. Thanks.
