REFRESHING the contents of BACKUP SETS

NOTE: I create and keep independently created manual monthly WINDOWS IMAGE backups separately.

My NORTON external backup sets are becoming quite large.  I assume because:
 - it has backed up every file/directory I specified since the beginning of time
 - in contains files I backed up and deleted and will NEVER USE AGAIN
 - sometimes I may change a directory name or rename it, OR move it under another directory, and the contents will be backed up twice and in my backup set twice in different places..

Questions:
 - Can I refresh the backup set contents without DELETING THE BACKUP SET PARAMETERS I CREATED (quite time intensive) and setting up the backup parameters all over again?   OR...

Other questions:
 - Can I somehow delete files/directories inside it.  I know how to restore, but how do I delete files/directories it contains?
 - Does Norton backup only backup files that have changed since the last backup, or is it doing an complete read and backup of every file I specify in the backup set rules?

Thank you.

Using a Windows Admin account, open Windows Explorer and click on This PC in the left pane. Then double click on the Norton Backup Drive in the right pane. It will take time for this to populate, so be patient. When the list of backup sets is displayed, double click on the backup set you want to trim down.   When that list populates, you can right click on folders and files you wish to delete and click on Delete. Again, this can take some time as it is communicating with the Norton Servers.

If you are referring to changing the backup set, yes you can change what is backed up. Just go into the backup sets settings and make any changes to the files/folders you wish to have backed up.

The backup will only add new and changed files to the backup.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
