Refund Requested

Long-time [2 decades] Norton user ... currently using NS w/BU with nearly 700 days left on my subscription; been a beta-tester in years past; loyal to product. I have reached my limit.

I was already having issues that were never satisfactorily resolved ... with BU [ended up disabling it and purchasing iDrive software for my back-ups], IS [toolbar stalling and replicating my IE favorites bar], anti-spam [causing Outlook 365 to lock-up], Facebook scan [will not stay enabled], failure to launch reliably upon reboot, etc. God only knows what will happen when Windows 10 is officially launched. Using fully updated Windows 8.1 Pro w/ Media Center 64-bit. NS seems to never have been fully polished. I tried very hard to accept it, because it was Norton.

Now, we have this update issue that completely breaks the software and was obviously not tested properly. Norton has lost my trust.

How do I get a hassle-free & FULL refund for my remaining subscription. Norton's support has been horrific in recent times. I just want a simple refund so that I can move on. Bitdefender is looking very good. Time for a change.

Re: Refund Requested

Hello

The 22.5.0.120 update has been pulled. You can uninstall and get back 22.2.0.31 by using www.norton.com/latestns  or www.norton.com/latestnsbu   Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit NSBU 22.17.0.183 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.

Re: Refund Requested

Before anyone tries to revert to v 22.2, you may want to read this thread. It doesn't solve all the issues.

But if someone restores a backup image with 22.2.0.31 installed, there should be no problem... I think...

Re: Refund Requested

That possibility currently remains uncertain as well - having to do with a heuristic fingerprinting and recording / documenting aspect of the activation process and activation continuance validity servers...
